Indre Fabre became the first trainer to win the HK$26 million Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase (2400m) four times, while Sosie gave the 80-year-old trainer victory in the competition.
Defending champion Giavellotto followed Sosie and jockey Maxime Guyon to the line but was unable to overturn the points from October's Group 1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (2400m), with the pair finishing third and fourth.

Breaking from stall eight, Guyon placed Sosie well and placed one off the rail and two places back from the first leader Eydon. Urban Chic scored in the second half after a direct finish as Christophe Lemaire attempted to inject some urgency into the proceedings.
As the field began to turn for home, Guyon took a safe lead towards Urban Chic, while Christophe Soumillon took the rail on Goliath, moving on to third.
“Everything went smoothly,” said Guyon, who also won the LONGINES Hong Kong Vase against Flintshire (2014) and Junko (2023).
“I followed Los Angeles for three-quarters of the race, but halfway around the turn for home, Ryan's (Moore, jockey) horse started to slow down.
“The horse has such a great attitude and is easy to place anywhere in the race.”
Earlier this season, Sosie also won the Group 1 Prix Ganay and the Group 1 Prix d'Ispahan.
“He's an amazing horse,” Guyon said. “It's the first time he's traveled across the continents, but he's been relaxing every morning this week, and it's amazing.”
“Same owner, same trainer, same jockey… I'm very happy with us!” 🤩
